Hello EV Tuesday readers. How are we all? Are you having a good week so far?
Now is the time to take a quick break from whatever you are doing, pick up a drink and sit down for 10 minutes to go through the links we have chosen this week.
As usual we will be posting these on our social media channels including Facebook, Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit) & Twitter, head over and give us a follow, like or an upvote. If it is an extra item you would like, sign up to our blog right here.
Until next time, happy reading!
1. EV Charge Locations: Speak EV
With the announcement by various charging networks such as GridServe and Osprey that they will be building hundreds of charging hubs over the next few years, it got me wondering what the current situation is for hubs.
They're likely to play a big part in long-term EV infrastructure and journey planning. How many of us are going to plan to stop at these specifically because we know we're very likely to be able to get a charge?
2. EV Hints: Money Saving Expert
The push towards electric vehicles (EVs) is growing and is likely to become more of a focus with the sale of new petrol and diesel cars to be banned by the end of 2030. We'll take you through how much they cost, how that compares to petrol and diesel cars, and everything else you need to know to help you decide if an EV is right for you now.
3. EV Tip: Charging Network
Driving at the fast Lane speed, as you would do in ice vehicles, will massively consume the battery and can suddenly lead on longer journeys due to a change in supercharger destination to a nearer one.
Given not all superchargers are at motorway service stations (they can be 5-10 mins off the motorway) this sudden change in route plan can be a bit annoying. So drive at 70mph or make sure battery is fully topped at start of journey and be prepared from changes in supercharger stops along the route (which maybe a little off the motorway).
4. EV Cars: Autocar
New electric cars 2022: what's coming when. We take a look at some of the best new electric cars that will hit the streets over the next year and beyond.
5. EV Video: Fully Charged
Each week we will bring to you another episode in the 'Maddie Goes Electric' range. Today is Episode 2: Charging an electric car at home & locally (A beginner's guide)
Blog Version Extra:
6. EV App: Need to Charge
An app to let people know you need to charge your car if they are plugged in! What a great way to let people know their car is charged and you need the space!
Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
