1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: EV NAVIGATION

EV Navigation is a turn-by-turn navigation and route planner system, created for electric car users all around the world. EV Navigation does not only provide users with a reliable navigation system, including charging stations, but it is also capable of calculating the range the users can cover with their individually selected electric car.

2. EV NEWS: EV POWERED

Europcar Mobility Group UK has recorded a major milestone in its transition to low-emission transport, with more than 1.24 million rental days in electric and hybrid vehicles logged across 2024 — a fivefold increase on the 228,000 recorded in 2023.

3. EV TIP: CHARGE YOUR ELECTRIC CAR IN OFF PEAK HOURS WHERE POSSIBLE

Off peak hours are overnight because we collectively use less electricity when we go to sleep. Charging your car during these off peak times puts less pressure on the power grid which could actually result in cheaper electricity depending on the energy provider. Therefore, it's not only time and energy efficient, but could help cut costs.

4. EV PODCAST: INSIDE EVS

Shanghai 2025: How China's Winning the EV Race + Musk is Out at Tesla? On this episode of the Plugged-In Podcast from InsideEVs, Patrick and Tim discuss Elon’s suspected ouster from Tesla leadership. Next, the boys drop the details on Waymo and Toyota’s groundbreaking strategic partnership. And finally, Patrick gives his first impressions from the Shanghai Auto Show, including video of BYD’s fast-charging breakthroughs!

5. EV REVIEW: ELECTRIFYIING

Lucid Gravity

Lucid's first SUV is fun, practical and just about the highest-tech EV you can buy today. California-based Lucid Motors wowed electric-car nerds in late 2021 when the Air sedan arrived with a still-untouched 520 miles of range and staggering performance. But Lucid’s debut product was hamstrung by being a four-door sedan, at a time when the car market largely shifted to SUVs and trucks. Lucid sold 6,000 Airs in 2023 and just over 10,000 in 2024. It’s solid growth for a newcomer, but not exactly the makings of a major car company.
