17th January 2023
Hello EV Tuesday readers. How are we all? Are you having a good week so far? We have been busy here at EV Cables sourcing some excellent tools, tips, videos and podcasts for you to look at.

We have a great selection of tips, an app and some news to read. Now is the time to take a quick break from whatever you are doing, pick up a drink and sit down for 10 minutes to go through the links we have chosen this week.

As usual we will be posting these on our social media channels including Facebook, Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit) & Twitter, head over and give us a follow, like or an upvote. If it is an extra item you would like, sign up to our blog right here, we are also revealing our Cable Super Hero today.

As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?  Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: PLUGSHARE

If you’re travelling abroad (or drive a Tesla) then you will probably want to download PlugShare. That’s because the EV app guides users to public charging locations around the world.

It features over 533,000 charging stations across all the major networks in North America, Europe and throughout much of the globe.

2. EV VIDEO: FULLY CHARGED

Struggling to keep track of the zillions of new electric cars arriving in the next 12 months? Our resident car nerd Jack Scarlett is here to help.

In this video we (try to) list every single new EV arriving this calendar year - plus a few we just can't wait for in 2024.

3. EV TIP: HAVE FUN

It may seem like a silly tip, but have some fun! Exploring the functions of your new EV and getting to know it before setting off on the open road may come in handy, both for practical and entertainment purposes.

Perhaps you’ve just got a new Mercedes EQS, why not try out the massage function on the seats? Or have some fun with your kids in a Tesla model 3 with a couple of rounds of “caraoke” or surprise them with the whoopie cushion.

No matter what car you choose, have some fun exploring all the new features so you can make your daily commute or long journeys more enjoyable.

4. EV NEWS: BBC NEWS

A 24-hour electric vehicle charging station has been proposed as the latest development at an East Yorkshire business park.

Plans for the station on the Broadhelm Business Park near Pocklington have been lodged with East Riding of Yorkshire Council. They include building 10 bays to charge electric vehicles seven days a week.

5. EV REVIEW: CARWOW

Audi Q4 e-tron

The Audi Q4 e-tron is a family all-electric SUV, which takes on alternatives such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the Kia EV6, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and of course the Volkswagen ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq – both of which are mechanically identical underneath.
