Good Morning EV Tuesday Readers!
Well here we are, halfway through June, the sun is shining and sky is blue. The two things that make lots of people happy, along with their Electric Vehicles.
This week we have found a trial that is going ahead......driverless taxi's! It's an interesting read. Take a look at the new app we have found and a great tip to use when charging your car.

3. EV TIP: ALLOW YOUR BATTERY TO COOL DOWN BEFORE CHARGING
Temperature affects your EV battery life and efficiency. In general, an EV battery performs better when warm but charges better when cool. Lower charge voltage and cooler temperatures preserve lithium-ion batteries specifically. If you’ve been driving for an extended period, it’s good practice to allow your battery to cool down for a few minutes before charging it. Charging a hot battery can lead to increased wear and reduced overall battery life.

2026 Toyota C-HR First Look: Toyota’s Coolest EV Yet. Toyota has resurrected the C-HR as a sporty EV crossover. It looks stylish, produces a bucketload of power and has personality, too. The last Toyota C-HR sold in America was an awkward-looking compact four-door crossover. While it was great at sipping gas, it wasn't especially great at finding buyers.

6. EV TRIAL: BBC NEWS
Uber brings forward trialling driverless taxis in UK. Uber will trial robotaxis - autonomous cars with no human safety driver at the wheel - in London next spring. The ride-hailing app will work with the UK artificial intelligence (AI) firm Wayve, which has been testing out the technology on the city's streets with human oversight, in line with current legislation.
