1. EV Video: Julian Ilett Vehicle to Load
Electronics on the cheap - electricity for free. I buy cheap electronics modules and components direct from Chinese sellers via eBay. Most of this stuff works fine and the gadgets that I build work OK. But some of it is dodgy (even fake) and that's where the fun starts! I like to use solar panels to power my workshop. This free energy is low voltage, so it's safe (mostly).
2. EV News: BBC News
Hopefully nobody got caught up in this! Electric vehicle charging points in a council's car parks have been hacked to show a porn website on their screens. Isle of Wight Council has three charge points in Quay Road, Ryde, Cross Street, Cowes and Moa Place, Freshwater.
3. EV Tip: Rapid Charging
When rapid charging mid journey, use the state of charge/charge rate relationship to your advantage. It can take as long to charge from 80-100% as it does from 10-80%.
4. EV Cars: Autocar
Top 10 best small electric cars 2022. We run down the very best affordable electric city cars, superminis and family hatchbacks on sale today
5. EV Facts: EDF Energy
11 interesting facts about electric cars. As a new technology, there are lots to learn about electric cars. How to charge them, how they work and how good they are for the environment are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive. There are also some lesser-known facts about electric cars that we’ve discovered that we thought we’d like to share with you.
Blog Version Extra:
6. EV Video: This Morning
The future is here - the electric car has gone mainstream, with some of Britain’s best known car makers full on board the electric band wagon. With petrol and diesel cars set to go the way of the dinosaurs by 2030 - and some pretty enticing financial incentives out there to get us ‘electrified’ - is it time we all decided to get charged up and go fully electric behind the wheel?
Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
