1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: PLUGSHARE
If you’re travelling abroad (or drive a Tesla) then you will probably want to download PlugShare. That’s because the EV app guides users to public charging locations around the world. It features over 533,000 charging stations across all the major networks in North America, Europe and throughout much of the globe.
2. EV NEWS: FINANCIAL TIMES
Donald Trump’s shake-up of EV rules would be ‘huge positive’ for Tesla. Donald Trump’s criticism of electric vehicles looks likely to lead to the end of government subsidies for consumers who buy them, boosting Elon Musk’s Tesla by hitting its rivals with greater losses.
3. EV TIP: DON'T GO OVERBOARD WITH THE BATTERY
The bigger the EV’s battery, the further you can expect to go on a single charge. But ask yourself this: do you regularly cover 250-300 miles in a single day? If the answer is no, an EV with a smaller battery might be preferable. Sure, you might have to put up with achieving no more than 150-200 miles on a single charge, but an EV with a small battery will be cheaper to buy and quicker to recharge. The difference could be as much as a few hundred pounds a month on a finance contract.
4. EV EVENT: LONDON EV SHOW
Taking place next week: 26th-28th November 2024 The 4th annual London EV Show connects the entire global EV value chain, from start-ups to investors to governments and OEMs, showcasing the latest solutions in the ever evolving automotive market.
5. EV REVIEW: TOP GEAR
Dacia Spring
Dacia Spring: This is the new Dacia Spring. Or the facelifted Dacia Spring, depending on which way you look at it. The cute little electric crossover has been on sale on the continent since 2021, but facelift time is your first opportunity to get your hands on a proper right-hand drive version.
BLOG VERSION EXTRA
6. EV BLOG: LOVE ELECTRIC
If you enjoy reading blogs, head over to Love Electric and give them a follow. We really enjoying reading their blogs on a variety of different EV related subjects from budgets to buying.
Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
