Well isn't this rain just relentless. Fun fact: Did you know we have not had 1 dry day so far in 2026! That is a lot of rain.
At least with it all it means that you are stuck inside, giving you time to read through our weekly EV Tuesday newsletter, clicking on the links and finding out some useful tips, tools and hints.
This week we have a review of a great sports car and also an article abut how to use solar panels to charge your EV.

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: AA
Like other parking apps, the AA app shows you available parking spaces near your destination, as well as electric charging point availability. But this app has way more functionality than just parking. You can get breakdown support, plan routes, and even find a great place to have lunch on a long journey.
2. EV NEWS: FLEET NEWS
Half of female EV drivers avoid certain public charging locations. Safety is a key factor in where women choose to charge their electric vehicles (EVs), new research suggests. More than two-thirds (70%) of female EV drivers say they consider personal safety when choosing where to charge, while more than half (54%) avoid certain charging locations altogether.

4. EV SOLAR CHARGER: SMART HOME CHARGE
A solar compatible EV charger can take excess solar energy and use it to charge your electric car. But which chargers are best at it? More households than ever are getting solar panels installed and for good reasons. They lower energy bills whilst reducing reliance on grid energy. Some households are even able to make more energy from their solar panels (also known as a solar PV system) than they use which can then either be sold back to the grid or put in a home battery storage system.
