Tackling the gaps of public electric vehicle chargepoints in the UK. There are now over 1.6 million EVs on British roads, with over 20% of new car registrations being fully electric in 2025 so far (August 2025).

3. EV TIP: USE A CERTIFIED EV CHARGER

When selecting an EV charger, safety and reliability should be top priorities. A certified charger ensures compliance with industry standards, reducing risks and guaranteeing long-term performance. In the UK, look for UKCA Approved EV Chargers and CE Approved EV Chargers, as these certifications confirm that the charger meets strict safety and quality regulations. Choosing a certified charger protects your vehicle, electrical system, and overall charging experience.

5. EV REVIEW: ELECTRIFYING

BMW iX3 Neue Klasse

BMW iX3 Neue Klasse The new BMW iX3 'Neue Klasse' will be the longest range electric car on sale when it arrives in 2026, thanks to game-changing battery tech improvements. It's also great value, and is set to be one of the most important new cars of the year. You could argue BMW's first iX3 was a worthy but predictable effort, taking the existing combustion X3 and wedging a RWD battery drivetrain beneath. You can forget about that now.
