EV Tuesday Week 82

EV Tuesday Week 82

It's EV Tuesday!

6th June 2023

Hello EV Tuesday fans
What beautiful weather we are having! Who is making the most of the sun? If you have a convertible, have you had the roof down yet?
Did you like the hints, tips and tools we provided? This week we have another 5 goodies lined up for you to take a look at.
As always, make a cup of tea or coffee, eat up the last remaining biscuits and chocolates and feast your eyes on these!
We will be posting this to our social media channels including FacebookTwitter & Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit). If you have access to our blog, you will get an extra item :)

Leave us some feedback and let us know your thoughts on what we have included or what you would like to see.

Until next time, have a great week!

Feedback, Requests, Questions?
As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?  Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: OSPREY

Sign up to find and navigate to Osprey charge points, start and stop sessions, view live status during your session, see charge history and download VAT receipts.

2. EV NEWS: SKY NEWS

Electric car transition will lead to £10bn shortfall in taxes - and rich benefit most from savings, report warns. A new road duty and reduced VAT for public charging points have been proposed to prevent the wealthy disproportionately benefitting from electric vehicle savings.

3. EV TIP: SHIFT THE WEIGHT

The more weight you have inside the car, the heavier it is, and the more energy it takes to get things moving. You don’t need to go as far as removing seats and spare tyres though. Just make sure you’re not carrying any unnecessarily heavy items – you don’t need to take the kitchen sink on every trip.

4. EV CHARGE: CO-CHARGER

Become a host? If you have a charge point for electric vehicles at home, sign up to Co Charger and help your neighbours to make the switch to electric vehicles.

5. EV REVIEW: LOTUS CARS

Lotus Eletre

The all-new and all-electric Lotus Eletre is a striking and progressive Hyper SUV. It takes the core principles and Lotus DNA from almost 75 years of sports car design and engineering, evolving them into a desirable all-new lifestyle car.

Eletre has an elegant and exotic look with active aerodynamics and a dramatic porous design. The use of pioneering sustainable materials gives a new level of premium for every journey.

6. EV PRODUCT REVIEW: V2L ADAPTER

Thanks to Andrew Frazer, all the way form New Zealand, for contacting us regarding his V2L Adapter. Andrew uses it as part of their household system so he can power up his house if there is a power cut. We all know that there are many power cuts in New Zealand. It also means that Andrew can carry on working from home when there is no power.

Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
