Here's what we have in store this week.....
1. EV Video: Top Electric
Are you thinking about changing your Electric Car next year? In the upcoming years, electric cars will take over those with internal combustion engines. From big companies to new startups, several automakers are rushing headlong to promise more electric cars models ranging from electric cars to electric pickups to make sure that everyone can choose.
2. EV Tool: New Motion
From hardware to software, NewMotion offers everything you need to scale your EV charging needs to the masses. With everything from charging solutions to news, reports and press releases. There is something for everyone here to read.
3. EV Charge: Zero Net
We think this is a great idea, PAYG Charging. ZeroNet is the national charging network that delivers what EV drivers need. Drivers can eat, play, work or sleep while topping up their vehicles. Unlike other networks, drivers don't need to register, pay monthly fees or carry smart cards. The essence of ZeroNet is strictly pay-as-you-go. Drivers can simply pull up and plug in, trusting in charging stations that work every time.
4. EV News: Inside EVs
Click on the link and take a look at Inside EVs. This article talks about why the Volvo Concept Recharge has hit the headlines again. The automaker says it does more than just showcase the company’s future design language.
5. EV Tip: EV Approved
We all know we need to charge our Electric Cars, sometimes it gets a little confusing with all the different charging types and connectors. Here we give you a quick run down of the different types and what is best to use where and when.
Plus this handy tip:
"Could “grazing” be the answer for you?
Not everyone is able to charge their vehicle overnight at their home. For those who cannot “gorge” their car to fully charged there is another possible answer. This is what’s described as “grazing” charging behaviour, where a driver plugs their vehicle in whenever they see an available chargepoint, no matter how short the period of time may be. No different from charging your phone whenever and wherever you can. If you think through your week there may be many opportunities for an hour or two of charge. If you are unable to charge at home it is important that you check to see what public charging infrastructure is available, who the operators are and the cost to charge in the areas that you usually drive, before buying an electric vehicle. If your car is capable of being rapid charged this can provide a quick top up if needed."
