EV Tuesday Week 225

It's EV Tuesday!

26th May 2026

Hello to our EV Tuesday readers.

How are we all doing this week? Have you had a good week? Did you enjoy the Bank Holiday and make good use of your day off (if you had one)?
We had a lovely relaxing weekend and now back in the warehouse preparing all your cable orders you have placed. As always, we have also been busy researching information for you to enjoy. We have included the next edition of the EV Adventure Lap of Tasmania.
Sit back, and enjoy this week's edition of EV Tuesday.

We will be posting this to our social media channels including Twitter & Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit). If you have access to our blog, you will get an extra item :)

Get involved and give us any ideas in the comments, they may well get used next week!

Right, ready.....steady.........GO!!

Feedback, Requests, Questions?
As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions? Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: WATTSUP

WattsUp is the app that you’ve been waiting for and a revolution in how rapid charging options are presented to electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Enjoy the ability to easily view a chosen route knowing that the information is comprehensive, up to date and includes all major network operators

2. EV NEWS: BBC NEWS

Blue badge holders to get pavement EV charging points. A pilot project will allow Brighton's blue badge holders and taxi drivers to create pavement gullies next to their homes to charge their electric cars. Brighton & Hove City Council cabinet backed the trial, working with the charity Motability, as part of a raft of measures to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging across the city.

3. EV TIP: RAPID CHARGING

If you need to use rapid charging, the Tesla Supercharger network has consistently lower prices and many of their sites are open to non-Teslas. You just need to download the Tesla mobile app and open an account.

4. EV ADVENTURE: EV ADVENTURE TRIP

EV Road Trip Around Tasmania Day 2 - North West Tasmania. Over the next 7 days, I'll be driving my fully electric 2021 Kia Niro right around Tasmania. Today, after spending the night on the Spirit Of Tasmania ferry travelling across Bass Straight, I arrive in Tasmania and officially begin the trip! First, I'm heading west from Devonport across the northern coast, then, I start heading down the west coast.

5. EV REVIEW: THE DRIVE

2027 Volve EX60

2027 Volvo EX60 First-Drive Review: A Luxe EV That Gets Smart, Not Showy. Volvo’s midsize electric SUV keeps its radical nature under wraps. Some car companies have frozen in their tracks and suspended EV programs, but Volvo isn’t one of them—its radical plan to go electric remains on target. There will be more hybrids to smooth the transition, but excellent new electric vehicles like the 2027 Volvo X60 remain the core of its plan.
