EV Tuesday Week 144

EV Tuesday Week 144

It's EV Tuesday!

1st October 2024
Good Morning EV Tuesday Readers
We are here again, a new week, a new month and the start of a new season. The nights are getting longer and the days are getting shorter. Now is the time to think about putting your EV into the garage, pre-heating it before you get in and keeping an eye on your pressures and battery.
So with that, we have an excellent selection of tips, tools and links for you to read. Sit back, relax and enjoy this week's EV Tuesday.
We will be posting this to our social media channels including Facebook, Twitter & Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit). If you have access to our blog, you will get an extra item :)

Right, ready.....steady.........GO!!

Feedback, Requests, Questions?
As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions? Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.

Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: PAUA

Paua makes public EV charging simple. We enable drivers to find, charge, and pay across different charging networks, taking the hassle out of EV charging with one single app and RFID card.

2. EV NEWS: SKY NEWS

Jaguar Land Rover drives Halewood EV future with £500m investment. JLR says the Merseyside plant will become "the factory of the future" but it is yet to decide which all-electric model it will produce there first, as global demand for EVs remains on rough ground.

3. EV TIP: CHARGE SMATER, NOT HARDER

If you’re charging your EV at home, smart charging on EV-specific tariffs is the way forward. With smart charging features at your fingertips, you can take control of your charging schedule and maximise efficiency. You can even set up charging timers to take advantage of off-peak rates and save on energy costs - all whilst reducing your carbon footprint.

4. EV CONVERSION: ELECTRIC CLASSIC CARS

We’re responsible for the world’s first Tesla-powered Mini. Our classic Mini conversions capture the spirit of the original while adapting to the demands of the changing world.

5. EV REVIEW: GREEN CAR REPORTS

Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid

The Toyota Prius Prime changes its name to the Prius Plug-In Hybrid for the 2025 model year, but it's still the same fuel-efficient hatchback. Toyota is nixing the Prime badge from both the Prius and RAV4 plug-in hybrids in a move to recast them as interchangeable with plug-in hybrids from other automakers. It believes this will help consumers more easily identify the plug-in hybrids by adopting a naming convention used by other brands.

Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
