1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: INSTAVOLT
The Instavolt App runs alongside our contactless payment option and provides another simple way to access our award winning DC Rapid Electric Vehicle charging network. In addition to the functional benefits the App provides (i.e. location mapping, navigation and VAT receipts), customers using our EV charging App are given exclusive access to the following rewards programs, which are not available to those using our contactless payment option.
2. EV NEWS: THE INDEPENDENT
Good news for home EV chargers as UK government rules set to change. New planning rules have made it simpler to install some home EV chargers, while drivers without driveways can now get more help towards approved cross-pavement charging. New rules mean it should be easier and cheaper for EV drivers to plug in at home, thanks to Government changes to England driveway EV charger regulations and additional incentives coming into force.
Slow charging (e.g. at home) is better for the battery than rapid charging. To minimise battery degradation, it's best to charge to somewhere between 50% and 80%. It's OK to charge to 100% if you are going to need the range but it takes ages to go from 90% to 100% and it's bad to leave the car parked up at 100% state of charge.

4. EV ADVENTURE: EV ADVENTURE TRIP
EV Road Trip Around Tasmania Day 4 - Gordon Dam And The Southern Most Point In Australia. Today, after spending the night camping in Mount Field National Park, I weave my way through the mountains to see Gordon Dam, before turning around and passing through Hobart to visit the southern most point in Australia that you can drive to, and the Southern most pub and EV charger in Australia.

When entering a new market, it’s always helpful to have a USP, and the new Volvo EX60 has a a doozy: 503 miles. Yes, that’s the official range of this premium electric SUV if you order it with the biggest of its three battery options, meaning it can go farther between charges than any rival.
