Until then, grab a drink, click on the links below and enjoy this weeks 5 items.

1. EV Research: Forbes

Tesla Researcher Demonstrates 100-Year, 4-Million-Mile Battery. One of the biggest concerns about EVs is that the batteries will need replacing after a few years, at great expense.

After all, your smartphone battery is likely to have seen better days within as little as three years.

2. EV News: Evening Standard

Genesis, the upmarket arm of Hyundai, has already introduced five new models since it started operating in Europe a year ago. There was some surprise that all five were powered by petrol or diesel engines instead of electricity. But now, with their GV60, Genesis has introduced its first fully electric car.

If you are looking to purchase a V2L cable, we supply them for these new vehicles right here!

3. EV Tip: Battery Size

Don't go overboard with the battery size

The bigger the EV’s battery, the further you can expect to go on a single charge. But ask yourself this: do you regularly cover 250-300 miles in a single day? If the answer is no, an EV with a smaller battery might be preferable.

Sure, you might have to put up with achieving no more than 150-200 miles on a single charge, but an EV with a small battery will be cheaper to buy and quicker to recharge. The difference could be as much as a few hundred pounds a month on a finance contract.

4. EV Podcast: EV Directory

Here, all the different types of Electric Vehicles are explained from ICE, Hybrid, Mild Hybrid, PHEV, FCEV & BEV. In this podcast we provide an overview of the different types of vehicles, how they work, plus the pros and cons of each one.

5. EV Video: Fully Charged

Each week we will bring to you another episode in the 'Maddie Goes Electric' range. Here's the third episode of the Fully Charged Show's 6 part series - a beginner’s guide to electric cars.

Blog Version Extra:

6. EV News: Tech Radar

Great Scott! The all-electric DeLorean DMC is here, and it's beautiful. Doc would be proud! The DeLorean Motor Company has finally lifted the lid on its stunning electric reimagining of the 1981 DMC.

Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
