Good morning to our EV Tuesday community. Easter has been and gone, now it is time for a long weekend. What are your plans for the Bank Holiday Weekend ahead? Taking your EV out for a drive, having a BBQ in the garden or just relaxing in the sun (hopefully).

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: EV NOTIFY
EVNotify allows you to track the state of charge as well as data such as charging power of your electric vehicle from distance. It gives you notification when the desired state of charge has been achieved or your charge interrupted! Only available on Android not IOS.
2. EV NEWS: ENERGY NEWS LIVE
UK hits EV milestone as vehicle numbers reach record high. More than 1.3 million electric cars on our roads as total vehicle ownership rises to 42 million. The number of vehicles on Britain’s roads hit a record 41.96 million in 2024, up 1.4% from the previous year, according to new data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
3. EV TIP: EV TARIFF
Shop around for a good EV Tariff. EV tariffs are almost always dual-rate, which means you’ll pay less to charge your car when electricity demand is at its lowest and usually that’s overnight. That suits a great number of electric car owners, who often get into the habit of plugging it in when they get home in the evening. For these drivers, scheduling their charging directly from their car or via an app, either synced to the smart wallbox or provided by the electricity supplier, can make this whole procedure very easy indeed.

2026 Lexus ES Gets Bigger and Offers Hybrid or EV Powertrains. Lexus has completely reworked its bread-and-butter sedan, which will come as a hybrid and a fully electric model when it reaches the U.S. in 2026. When Toyota overhauled the popular Camry sedan for the 2025 model year—introducing sharper styling and, more importantly, a standard hybrid powertrain—we knew it wouldn't be long before its platform-mate, the Lexus ES, entered a new generation too.
