1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: AA APP

Like other parking apps, the AA app shows you available parking spaces near your destination, as well as electric charging point availability. But this app has way more functionality than just parking. You can get breakdown support, plan routes, and even find a great place to have lunch on a long journey.

2. EV NEWS: CAR WOW

Every car which is eligible for the new EV grant: seven more models announced. There are now 35 cars which are eligible for the government’s new electric car grant, but only two of them can claim the full £3,750 discount. Here’s every car which is currently available on the EV scheme. A further seven models have been approved for the government’s new electric car grant, a scheme which could land you a discount of up to £3,750 on a new EV to tempt buyers into making the switch.

3. EV TIP: CHOOSE THE RIGHT CHARGER FOR YOUR EV

Not all EV chargers are the same, and choosing the right one can make a huge difference in your charging experience. If you drive daily and want the fastest home charging, a Level 2 charger (240V) is your best bet—it can fully charge most EVs overnight. On the other hand, if you only drive short distances and have time to charge, a Level 1 charger (standard 120V outlet) might be enough.

4. EV QUIZ: NET ZERO SCOTLAND

How much do you know about Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV)? Put your knowledge to the test - take the quiz!
