Hello EV Tuesday readers.
How are we all? Are you having a good week so far? We have been busy here at EV Cables sourcing some excellent tools, tips, videos and some news for you to look at.
Did You Know? When you place and order with us, we plant a tree. We work with ecologi to fund a tree for every order we receive, however big or small. This is one part of our mission towards sustainability. At the same time, we're developing our plugs to be ready for refurbishment, reducing our plastic packaging and driving towards a local supply chain.
Now is the time to take a quick break from whatever you are doing, pick up a drink and sit down for 10 minutes to go through the links we have chosen this week.

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: JUST PARK
As well as helping drivers find parking spaces, the JustPark app also allows you to rent out your EV charging station if you have one at home. It’s an innovative way for EV owners to generate a little extra cash — you can set your own price. As more charging points become available, more drivers may turn to electric vehicles, creating a more sustainable industry.
2. EV NEWS: SKY NEWS
Electric car transition will lead to £10bn shortfall in taxes - and rich benefit most from savings, report warns. A new road duty and reduced VAT for public charging points have been proposed to prevent the wealthy disproportionately benefitting from electric vehicle savings.

5. EV REVIEW: CAR BUYER
Vauxhall Astra Electric
New Vauxhall Astra Electric: price, trim levels and details. Vauxhall has revealed that the Astra Electric hatchback will cost from £39,995 in GS trim. Like the standard petrol-powered model, the Astra Electric will be offered in both hatchback and Sports Tourer estate body styles.
The electric family hatchback segment is a rapidly developing one, with the Astra Estate set to rival the likes of the MG4, Volkswagen ID.3 and the Peugeot e-308, with which it shares many of its parts.

6. EV VIDEO: ELECTRIFYING
Can we just start by saying that we’re big fans of Rowan Atkinson at Electrifying.com. He loves cars, we love cars, and we love his work. This week, however, hasn’t been his best. In an opinion column in The Guardian newspaper concerning electric cars, Atkinson put forward some rather questionable ‘facts’ about electric cars and the automotive industry.
