1. EV Charge: Charge Your Car
This little app is perfect for those that want to charge their car but not sign up. Just go to this live map, select the charge point you want to use, and you’ll be directed through to a payment page where you can start the charge and then stop it again once you’re finished.
2. EV New Car Info: Car & Driver
Take a look and see what is in production and what is looking to be built. Here is what is expected, and not expected, in the next 5 years. These EVs aren't for sale yet but are in various stages from concept to production—and perhaps a few may never see the light of day.
3. EV Tip: Smooth Driving
A little tip on smooth driving to save your battery.
Simply put, lead-footed driving will drain your EV’s battery at an accelerated rate. It may be tempting to leverage an EV’s immediate torque for quick launches, but it’s more prudent to take it easy when accelerating from a standing start.
4. EV Clip: Melting Snow
There's nothing more satisfying than watching snow melt, especially when it's your car and you need to get in it. Watch this short clip of a Tesla phone app melting the snow off the car before you get in.
5. EV Video: Audi RS3 vs Tesla Model 3 Drag Race
There is always a debate in the pub when you're sat with your mates.....what is faster, petrol or electric. Here is a little video of a drag race between an Audi RS3 and a Tesla Model 3. Which car do you think will win? Our bets are on the Tesla! Click on the link to find out.
Blog Version Extra:
6. EV Podcast: Fully Charged
We love a bit of Fully Charged here at EV Cables. Their podcasts are filled with interesting stories, almost breaking news, a pinch of wit and a dash of banter. Some YouTube behind the scenes chat, and a few guests who actually know what is going on in the world of EVs, renewable energy and sustainability. This week it is all about electric motors and what is actually inside them.
Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
EV Cables Team
