1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: EV.ENERGY

Smart home charging for your car with ev.energy: a greener, smarter way to charge your electric vehicle. Let’s plug into better! OPTIMIZE YOUR EV CHARGING. We manage charging on your EV. Automatically shift your charging away from peak times using the greenest, cheapest energy available.

2. EV NEWS: SKY NEWS

Households could use EV batteries to power appliances - but there are caveats. Using bidirectional charging households could fuel their cars when electricity costs are lowest and use it to power their home at peak times when prices are higher, but they must own compatible vehicles in the first place.

3. EV TIP: USE A GARAGE WHERE POSSIBLE

Sure, sometimes it can be more convenient to park in the driveway or in the street. And, sure, sometimes there’s a bit more clutter in the garage than there needs to be. But for EV drivers who have a garage, keeping the vehicle inside during winter can be a major difference maker. The relative warmth of the garage will help keep the battery charged longer.

Further, a battery left in the cold weather too long won’t perform as well as one kept in warmer air. This also applies to indoor parking facilities at shopping centers, sporting events and any other opportunity where you have the option to park indoors rather than outdoors.

4. EV EVENT: ELECTRIC VEHICLE FESTIVAL

Electric Vehicles Festival 2024: 28th April, Stanford Hall, Lutterworth
The Celebration of all Electric Vehicles returns as the Electric Vehicles Festival enters its fifth year at our new venue Stanford Hall.

5. EV REVIEW: RAC

Nissan Leaf
Nissan Leaf: The Nissan LEAF has always been a car that divides opinion. Some love this fully electric vehicle for its bold engineering and surprisingly enjoyable driving dynamics, but to date, many other green-minded potential buyers have struggled to make a case for it. But things are changing. For the latest model year, the brand has introduced a slightly smarter look. Plus value has been prioritised across the line-up.
