Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: PARKOPEDIA

With the Parkopedia app, you can find and book parking close to your destination. Retrieve your booking within the app and show it when you arrive for stress-free parking. You can also filter by spaces or car parks with EV charging points, making it another great choice for EV owners.

2. EV NEWS: BBC NEWS

China's Nio unveils Tesla Model Y rival. Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker Nio has unveiled the first car from its new lower-priced brand Onvo, in a direct challenge to Tesla's best-selling car. With prices starting at 219,900 yuan ($30,465, £23,990), the L60 SUV is more than 10% cheaper than the world's most popular EV, Tesla's Model Y, which has a price tag of 249,900 yuan.

3. EV TIP: EV OWNERS TIP

Some supermarket chargers are still free, and a few offer up to 22kw charging, also free. So get, and keep with you, a 22kwhr 3-phase type 2 charging cable. That way you can get the best from your car's AC charging capability.

Keep a close eye on metered power declared by chargers. A Geniepoint near me declared 11kw delivered even though my car's basic cable was only capable of 7kw, and the car only received 7kw. If it wasn't free at point of charge this would be mis-selling.

4. EV PODCAST: EVS 4 EVERYONE

The EV Mistake You’re Probably Making. Alex Urist, VP of XCharge North America joins me on today’s episode to tackle EV charging myths as well as identifying lucrative opportunities (and hurdles) in providing EV charging options for businesses and individual operators alike.

5. EV REVIEW: CAR MAGAZINE

Nio ET5

Nio ET5: Nio’s European expansion continues, with a wider range of models designed to look tasty enough for discerning (read: fussy) folk used to the establishment. The new ET5 is designed to strike right at the heartland of the European legacy car makers, as well as offer enough of an alternative to the likes of Tesla for the brand to break through.

6. EV DEPRECIATION: MOTORS

The slowest depreciating electric cars revealed. When buying a new or a used car, it’s important to look at the depreciation figures. These will not only influence the amount of money you might lose on a car, but it will also affect the monthly finance figures – positively or negatively. Click on the image to read more.

Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
