1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: ESB ENERGY EV PLUG IN

Use ESB Energy’s public charging network to charge your electric vehicle with the easy to use EV Plug In app. EV Plug In shows the real-time availability and location of all our chargers across Britain. It allows you to swipe to charge, to register and pay, to track your usage, and to manage your account. It also provides information about connector type and power ratings for each charger, the ability to filter by site type (public or taxi only), and includes a handy directions feature to help get you there. It’s EV charging made easy.

2. EV NEWS: BBC NEWS

Toyota delays US electric car plans as sales slow. Toyota is pushing back the start date for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing in the US, as global demand for battery-powered cars continues to soften. The Japanese motor industry giant was aiming to start production in late 2025 or early 2026. Toyota now expects to launch its US EV operation at an unspecified time in 2026, a company spokesperson told BBC News.

3. EV TIP: CABLE REEL

4. EV PODCAST: ELECTREK

In this week’s episode, we discuss our first drives in Tesla FSD v12.5, a new Tesla prototype, 2025 Chevy Blazer EV and Audi Q6, and more.

5. EV REVIEW: INSIDE EVS

Subaru Solterra

The Solterra which was co-developed with Toyota and is a near-identical twin to that automaker's BZ4X, is a small SUV that's also Subaru's sole electric offering. That's a bit counterintuitive, given how nicely electrification fits in with the brand's crunchy image and customer base. Then again, Subaru is a small automaker without the vast resources of a company like Volkswagen, Toyota or General Motors. And transitioning to EVs isn't cheap or easy.
