1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: JUST PARK

As well as helping drivers find parking spaces, the JustPark app also allows you to rent out your EV charging station if you have one at home. It’s an innovative way for EV owners to generate a little extra cash — you can set your own price. As more charging points become available, more drivers may turn to electric vehicles, creating a more sustainable industry.

2. EV NEWS: AUTO VISTA

Which new entrant is winning over the UK’s EV market? The UK’s electric vehicle (EV) market is under pressure to perform in 2025. But how are new entrants and the introduction of the Electric Car Grant (ECG) helping to drive sales? Autovista24 special content editor Phil Curry examines the data. In total, 522,489 EVs were sold in the country nine months into 2025, according to the latest data from EV Volumes. This equated to a 32.2% increase year on year. Of the two powertrain technologies, BEVs were more popular, accounting for 66.9% of all plug-in deliveries in the UK.

3. EV TIP: COLD WEATHER

Cold weather can make your EV's battery less efficient. Warming up your car while it's still plugged-in helps keep the battery healthy and gives you more range. It also means you get into a toasty vehicle on chilly mornings! Tip: Use your EV's app or scheduled departure feature to preheat the car before unplugging

5. EV REVIEW: MOTOR TREND

Porsche Cayenne

The car that changed everything for Porsche, the Cayenne, is poised to do it again. This time, it’s not changing body styles but powertrains. The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric looks ready to solve nearly every issue dragging on EV adoption and potentially reverse the company’s fortunes. If it does, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Porsche’s profitability has taken a staggering hit as massive EV investments run square into the reality that widespread electric car adoption isn’t growing as fast as many companies projected when they authorized those investments (plus a massive shift in Chinese customer interest).
