1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: MERCEDES-BENZ

Mercedes-Benz Electric Ready provides a digital e-mobility test-drive. The new app helps you to decide if you’re ready to make the switch to the new line of Mercedes-EQ electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles of Mercedes-Benz.
Compare your current non-electric car with various vehicles from our portfolio and learn how they will fit into your daily driving routine.

2. EV NEWS: THE INDEPENDENT

How Formula E built the most efficient electric race car in the world. FIA technical manager Alessandra Ciliberti tells the Independent how Formula E have created the Gen3 for Season 9, a lighter, smaller and yet more powerful electric race car.

3. EV TIP: CABLE COVERS

Positioning your EV cable cover correctly and safely is important. Here’s how you can make sure your cable protector is most effective:
  • Position the cable protector on a smooth, flat surface. Avoid positioning it where puddles tend to form.
  • Use more than one cover if necessary to make sure the entire cable is protected.
  • Ensure the channel is wide enough for your cable, as too much pressure on the wire can cause damage.
  • Don’t put more than one cable in each channel.
  • If the lid gets damaged, replace it as quickly as possible to reduce the risk of trips and cable exposure.

4. EV PRODUCT: EV CABLES

Untidy EV cable getting you down? Not any more: Most EV drivers frequently charge their vehicle, not only using their charger at home, but also at public charging points. This is where they need the portable charging cable, which comes with the car. Please note this product is not wall mountable, it does have Velcro to allow you to stick it to the boot carpet of your car.

5. EV REVIEW: MOTOR TREND

Mercedes-Benz EQS

The Mercedes EQS is more than just a desirable electric car. It's the German brand showing off its capabilities – a big two fingers at Tesla, if you like, signposting the direction for its rapidly expanding electric vehicle line-up.

6. EV QUESTIONS: MOTORWAY.CO.UK

The 2030 switchover is coming, and soon petrol and diesel cars will be a thing of the past. The UK is going zero emission in a big way, with electric car sales increasing their share of both new and used car markets. Still, for many, electric vehicles, or EVs, may still pose some questions. Check out the image below to find the answers to some of the questions you may have.

Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
