2. EV NEWS: ELECTRIC CAR REPORTS

Lamborghini’s next-generation supercar to use V12 plug-in hybrid powertrain. Lamborghini has unveiled the first details of the first HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) hybrid super sports car, codenamed LB744, which will make its debut shortly in the year that Lamborghini celebrates its 60th anniversary.

3. EV TIP: DOES YOUR DRIVING STYLE AFFECT RANGE?

Does your driving style affect range? Just like a petrol or diesel car, smoother driving is more efficient. If you accelerate hard and brake a lot you’ll use more power than if you accelerate gently and let the car’s regenerative braking slow you down.

And as with petrol or diesel, higher speeds also use more power, so driving faster is less efficient. Other factors have an effect, too. Batteries are less efficient when they’re cold, while hilly journeys use more energy than flat ones.

4. EV PODCAST: FULLY CHARGED

We love Fully Charged here at EV Cables so we thought we would share one of their podcasts with you.

Kickstarting Australia’s EV Culture with Anthony Broese van Groenou. Sat amongst the wildlife on an organic farm in Queensland, Australia, in this week’s podcast Robert catches up with Anthony Broese van Groenou, Co-Founder, Director and CSO of The Good Car Company.

5. EV REVIEW: MOTOR TREND

Kia EV6

We're testing a Kia EV6 for a year—The electric SUV is now our 6th EV.

Kia’s first dedicated electric vehicle continues the electrification of MT’s long-term fleet. The Kia immediately stands out for its daring design, quick-charging capabilities, surprising agility, and value.

This impressive mix helped the EV6 garner heaps of praise from judges at our 2023 SUV of the Year competition, where we declared "Kia's electric future is looking bright. "
