1. EV APP OF THE WEEK: ZAP MAP

UK’s No.1 EV mapping service - locate charge points, plan your journey and share updates with other EV drivers. With over 22,000 locations, 37,000 devices and 62,000 connectors mapped, Zap-Map shows charge points from both the major networks and smaller providers across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

2. EV NEWS: REUTERS

Tesla vows to halve EV production costs. Musk keeps affordable car plan under wraps. SAN FRANCISCO, March 1 (Reuters) - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) will cut assembly costs by half in future generations of cars, engineers told investors on Wednesday, but Chief Executive Elon Musk did not unveil when it will debut a much-awaited affordable electric vehicle.

3. EV TIP: FREE CHARGE POINTS

Free charge points are mostly found at big supermarkets. According to Zap-Map (the app we have included), there are about 5,000 free charge points in the UK. To find them, it allows you to filter by payment method, including free-to-use ones.

Many free EV charge points are at supermarkets (about a quarter), though you can find them at a range of locations, including public and retail car parks, car dealership forecourts, and at hotels and B&Bs, among others.

Most free chargers are 'fast' 7 kilowatt (kW) connections – so if you're shopping for an hour or so you'd get about £2 worth of free juice for your car, or about 30 miles.

4. EV ETIQUETTE: THE DRIVEN

Electric car etiquette is something all new EV owners – and combustion car owners for that matter – are faced with learning, and often it is via the unwritten book called experience.

5. EV REVIEW: DRIVING ELECTRIC

Citroen e-C4

Citroen's first proper go at an electric family car is a successful one, offering good all-round ability with a unique character that focuses on comfort and refinement.
