EV Tuesdays Week 68

EV Tuesdays Week 68

It's EV Tuesday!

28th February 2023
It's that day of the week again all you EV fans!
Today is the day you get to have a look at what we have discovered this week, and boy have we found some good links for you. As usual there will be 5 different pieces of exciting electric car goodness including a very useful tip. You can enjoy a You Tube video, find out some news, discover a useful tip and read a review on an electric vehicle.
So, grab yourself a drink, be it hot or cold depending on what time of day it is, a biscuit or a packet of crisps, open up the 5 links and enjoy.
We will be posting this to our social media channels including Facebook, Twitter & Reddit (check out r/evcables subreddit). If you have access to our blog, you will get an extra item :)
Right, ready.....steady.........GO!!
Feedback, Requests, Questions?
As always, please give us feedback on Twitter. Which item is your favourite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?  Just send a tweet to @ev_cables and put #EVTuesdays at the end so we can find it.
Have a great week everyone and happy reading!

Funding for thousands of EV charge points announced. Thousands of new electric vehicle (EV) charge points are to be installed across England, the The Department for Transport (DfT) has announced.

Some 2,400 new charging devices will be created in 16 council areas, including Oxfordshire, Norfolk and Cumbria.

If you do run out of juice, don’t panic: breakdown services have vans with on-board chargers, allowing you to gain enough juice to make it to a proper charging point. Make sure you are a member of the AA, RAC or Green Flag.

Having said that, there’s a good chance you’ll never need them, if you follow the above advice, as very few EV owners run out of juice in the real world – it seems to happen to tabloid journalists more often than not.

A major announcement from Tesla and the White House, Hyundai starts an EV subscription, Ford increases their investment in EVs, and more…sit back and enjoy listening to this podcast.

Volvo’s XC40

Volvo’s XC40 small SUV has been on sale since 2017, impressing with its Scandi sensibility and attention to detail.

Three years later the XC40 Recharge was the Swedish carmaker’s first fully electric offering – trying to provide a compelling alternative to the likes of the BMW iX3, Mustang Mach-E or Volkswagen ID.4 – and of course the Polestar 2 with which it shares a platform and powertrains.

Electrek does Norway: So much more than electric cars! We recently visited Norway to see firsthand how the country became an electric car paradise. But as it turns out, that's just a small part of the bigger story!
Until next time. Have a fantastic week!
